Avatar, The Last Aibender

I've been reading so much about how Avatar was such a brilliant show I felt I had to investigate. And I've got to fully admit, it is indeed a fantastic animated series. I cannot believe the journey the creators have taken us on. Bear in mind I binge watched the entire 3 seasons in just over one week, I can see how it is widely regarded as a true classic.

Just finished season 1 of Avatar The Last Airbender. Damn you guys were so right - it is so brilliant!! The storylines, the art direction , the dialogue, the action, the messages...there’s just a hundred things to love about this show. What particularly amused me were the many laugh out loud moments of humour. Honestly I think the writers dropped these in just to give us older viewers a huge belly laugh. But the humour is interspersed with darker moments and those were always thoughtfully played and at times very moving. Can’t wait to get started on season 2.


Damn season two was so awesome! Might do an all nighter and binge watch the entire season three tonight.

Wow! Now THAT was how to create an epic finale!! Book 3 of Avatar The Last Airbender ended with the most epic battle scene ever imagined. I was whooping out loud and punching my fists in the air with every twist and turn. It took a while to get there, this final season contains a heck of a lot of filler episodes but man, what a journey. Binge watching all of it like I did, it felt like watching a really awesome full length movie. The character progression and growth was thrilling to witness and be a part of. There are just too many stand out moments throughout. I’m still on a high. Tomorrow I’m going out to find me an Appa to fly on.
