Bleach: Live Action Movie (Netflix)

Lots of people have told me to watch Bleach the anime or read the manga but there are 74 volumes of the print edition and 16 seasons of the anime - it is so daunting for a noob that I probably would never have bothered. Hence this film has served as a very nice introduction for me. I instantly love the concept and the main character and am dying to delve into the story much more now. Ok, the live action version has somewhat cheap CGI and the monsters look like giant Jim Henson puppets but the acting was great and the makers wisely chose to showcase just one story arc so this movie stands alone as a very watchable and entertaining film on its own. 7.5/10
